The Pixa-pro company has already presented four original family musicals - the first was called A Drop of Honey for Verunka, the second was The Snow Queen, followed by Alice in Wonderland and the latest is The Queen of the Hood. The shows produced by Pixa-Pro have been popular with audiences big and small and have been enjoyed by over 300,000 people at the Hybernia Theatre since 2012.

From November 2019, Pixa-Pro will move its musicals to the Musical Theatre in Karlín, where it will operate under the HDK Junior banner, and cooperation on new projects is also in the pipeline.

"With the creation of the Karlín Junior Musical Theatre brand, or rather with the premiere of the show HOW A MUSICAL IS MADE (March 2019), we started our theatre's journey towards younger audiences. By joining Musical Theatre Karlín with the Pixa-pro company and its creative team, which has been systematically and long term dedicated to creating for young audiences, we have taken the next logical and very important step on this journey. We are aware that we are still at the beginning of the journey, but we believe that it is taking the right direction", said Egon Kulhánek, Director of the Karlín Musical Theatre.

"We very much appreciate the management of the Karlín Musical Theatre for the purposeful and meritorious work with which they are implementing the new entertainment and educational project HDK junior with a professional approach, and the new possibilities and conditions for our further work with children and young people. We want to jointly prepare new entertaining musical and theatrical performances for children, youth, families and schools", adds producer Lenka Pixová.

The first performance that the audience will see at HDK will be the newly staged The Queen of the Pocket, written (as with all the others) by Alena and Jan Pix, with lyrics by Kristýna Pixová and music by Tomáš Beran.

A Cap of Honey for Verunka. In the new story we once again get to a fairy-tale island where three kingdoms known from fairy tales live together - the kingdoms of Cinderella, Goldilocks and Silly John. The King of Dark Forces (Kates) wants to take over the whole island and destroy all nature and its Queen of Natural Forces (Kapeska). The kings, queens and especially their children embark on an unequal battle with the evil intruder to end everything as a proper fairy tale should.

The Queen of Capes entertains children and adults alike not only with its topical story, but also with catchy music, spectacular choreography, gorgeous costumes, and lavish sets, which have been expanded for the HDK stage. The cast of the musical is also exceptional, with the added strength of Michaela Kuklová and Ines Ben Ahmed.

The family musical The Queen of the Pocket is simply a musical show for all generations!
