After graduating from grammar school, he studied at the JAMU in Brno, immediately after school he accepted an engagement at the Pilsen drama theatre, where he starred in many comedies by Antonín Procházka and made his first feature film, Sun, Hay, Strawberries, in which he played the role of Šimon Plánička. His collaboration with director Zdeněk Troška continued in the fairy tale The Most Beautiful Riddle and the film trilogy Babovřesky. He appeared in several television series, including Ordinace in the Rose Garden, Náměstíčko, Kameňák and the role of Ludvík, the cashier, in Okresní přebor. He is currently engaged in the Drama Club for twenty years and also plays in the Pluto comedy theatre in Pilsen, where his wife is the principal. He likes to travel and spends his free time at his cottage in Slapy. MARTIN SOBOTKA Actor. Graduated from the Conservatory in Prague, majoring in music and drama, acting. In 1978, as a child, he started dubbing and dubbing led him to acting in the theatre. Another school for him was working with Czechoslovak, now Czech Radio. He has performed in dozens of radio plays. He has made several television fairy tales and series. He hosted a children's show. He also worked as a presenter with commercial radio. From the cinematography, it is worth mentioning the film Why a Kvaska. He was once nominated for the Thalia Award, and three times for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Dubbing. Cooperation with theatres - Broadway, Kalich, Hybernia, Semafor Theatre, Háta Theatre Company, Lucie Bílá Theatre. The last cooperation with the Musical Theatre Karlín since its reopening in 2006 is in the musical Sun, Hay, Strawberries as Škopek. He performed in the Bratislava version of the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar, in the role of Jesus. In the musical of the same name he also plays the role of Judas in HDK and in Ostrava (shortlisted for the Thalia Award).
