Zelenka Zdeněk

Film and Television Directing graduated from FAMU in 1976-1981. After graduating from FAMU, he was an employee of the Barrandov Film Studio, and has been a freelancer since 1990. He has written and directed more than 80 feature films, productions and documentaries for Czech Television. His specialty is the adaptation of world drama or literature (The Miser, The Old Lady's Visit, Kean, Beetlehead, Arrowsmith). Among his works we should mention the titles Immortal Aunt, the series Oh, the Murders! or the drama Every Million Good, he has contributed to the scripts of the films Rebels, Watchman No. 47, War of Colours and others. He often collaborates with theatres such as Divadlo Na Jezerce, Semafor, Hybernia, Broadway. He has written librettos for several musicals, including Golem, Mephisto, Doctor Ox and Love in Heaven.
