Sieber Karen

Karen Sieber is an artist based in New York. She is currently "choreographing" a new rock/soul musical, We Are Ameena, which is slated for a Broadway workshop in Spring 2019. Some of her recent work includes choreography for the Guggenheim Works &Process series, The Broadway Dance Lab, The New York Gala for legendary choreographer Luigi (Eugene Louis Faccuito), and the Off-Broadway production of the musical The Quiet Clock. Karen was the Associate Choreographer for the Broadway workshop of the musical about the famous musician Liberace, All That Glitters and the musical Zarra - Unmasked at Last with Chita Rivera, as well as the Broadway Easter Bonnet Competition. She worked side-by-side with seasoned Broadway director/choreographer Dan Siretta on the world premiere of the musical Whatever Happened to Baby Jane starring Millicent Martin, as well as the Broadway revival of Very Good Eddie (Goodspeed Musicals), the first national tour of the musical Some Like It Hot starring Tony Curtis, and Hallmark Entertainment's Emmy-nominated (for choreography) A Christmas Carol starring Kelsey Grammer. She was choreographer and associate director of world-renowned director Robert Longbottom's highly acclaimed production of the musical Into The Woods, co-wrote and choreographed the film campaign for Risist Dance, and choreographed countless musicals across the United States including Cabaret, Spamalot, Les Miserables, Guys and Dolls, Legally Blonde, etc. Karen has choreographed television commercials for Deutsche Bank, Heartfulness Meditation,Renault Motor Car, Minolta Camera and Gillette etc.. Karen is the resident choreographer for the NYC production company A2K production and currently teaches at Marymount Manhattan College in NYC. Prior to becoming a choreographer, she was an active stage performer around the world, appearing in such venues as. She has appeared in Raza Hamadi's Ballet Jazz Art (France); Matt Mattox's JazzArt (France); films and television projects such as Moulin Rouge, A Christmas Carol, and Gossip Girls; Disney's Beauty and The Beast, Cats, Grease, Singin' in The Rain, and Jerry Herman's musical Mack & Mabel; numerous commercials; and danced on the well-known Radio City Christmas Spectacular.
