Pavel Nečas was born March 5, 1966 in Hodonín, but only because the maternity hospital in Hustopeče, where he grew up, was painting. From the age of seven he longed to become an actor, which he fulfilled at the age of thirteen when he was accepted into the children's studio of the Husa na provázku Theatre. This was followed logically by six years at the Brno Conservatory, where he studied music and drama. This was followed by the Oldřich Stibor Theatre in Olomouc, Slovácké divadlo in Uherské Hradiště and a wonderful seven years at the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre in Ostrava, where he played many beautiful roles, including Nikola Šuhaj in Ballad of a Bandit. In 1998, he was offered a position at the resurrected Theatre on Fidlovačka, where he spent eighteen years (Fiddler on the Roof, Painted on Glass, Fly Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Ballad for a Bandit, Marriage, Cabaret and others). He also works for television, film and radio. He loves sport in all its forms and is active in it. His favourite sport is golf, which he enthusiastically promotes.
