PRODUCENT AND DIRECTOR OF KARLÍN MUSICAL THEATRE From 1990 to 1995 he worked as a private entrepreneur and occasional director of music videos and commercials, and above all as manager of Richard Hes' UNO dance group. Their joint dance projects culminated in 1993 in a successful production of the musical West Side Story at the Karlín Musical Theatre, of which he was the producer. In the same year, he became the commercial deputy director at the theatre. In 1995, he was the producer of the original Czech musical Dracula, which ran in Prague until 1998 and won two Grammy Awards and two gold, two platinum and one double platinum record for record sales. Dracula was seen by one million three hundred thousand people in the 1990s, and other premieres were held in Seoul, South Korea, and Bratislava, Slovakia. Since 2003 he has been the director of the Karlín Music Theatre. Under his direction, the theatre has produced 20 musicals and operettas. It is also necessary to mention his contribution to the complete reconstruction of the historic building of the Karlín Music Theatre, after which it was inaugurated in October 2006 with the successful musical The Producers. The successful world premieres of the musicals Carmen in 2008 and The Legend of Holmes in 2018 should not be forgotten either.
