Dubnička Vilém

Vilém Dubnička studied acting at the drama department of DAMU under Boris Rösner, Eva Salzmannová and Prof. Miloš Horanský. He graduated from DISK with the role of Hamlet and then accepted an engagement at the J. K. Tyl Theatre in Pilsen, where he was a member of the drama ensemble from 2000 to 2009. Since then, he has been a freelance actor, director, author and presenter.

As an actor, he has guest-starred at the National Theatre, Drama Club, Summer Shakespeare Festival, NoD Theatre, Prague Chamber Theatre and others. In 2008 he founded with friends the open air festival Divadelní léto pod plzeňským nebem.

He directs drama and musical productions. He is the author of several plays and many song lyrics. With his friend and musician Zdeněk Lahoda, he forms a musical duo that performs original songs for children and adults.
