Březík Jiří
Composer, lyricist, singer
Graduated from the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory. Sings in the Prague Male Choir FOK, SOP, Big Band JIŘÍ BŘEZÍK (4.12.1966, Zlín)
Army of the Czech Republic, Prestissimo and with the Felix Slováček Big Band. He also performs with choirs under the direction of Miriam Němcová or is a member of Jaroslav Krček's MUSICA BOHEMICA.
He has been in musicals since 1996 - off stage Dracula, The Mission, musical staging by Jiří Škorpík of The Count of Monte Cristo and The Golem, arrangements of The Witches' Hammer, The Christmas Miracle and Adam and Eve. He is involved in the recording of vocals in Cleopatra, Rebels, The Three Musketeers, Angelica, etc.
Since 2007 he has been working in HDK - Polish Blood, Murder Behind the Curtain, Bonnie & Clyde and also in KCP - Mamma Mia! and Long Live the Ghosts.
In 2004 - 2006 he was a vocalist for Czech Search for Superstar and in 2009 he was a voice consultant in X Factor.
During 1998 he sang choirs at concerts of Daniel Hulka, Iveta Bartošová, Dasha and with Jiří Dvořák's Boom!Band at concerts of Karel Gott and Hana Zagorová. In the studios he participates in the recording of albums by Lucie Bílá and Helena Vondráčková.
In Czech Television he recorded the title song for the series Ovečka Shaun and Franklin.
He has played Louis XIII (The Three Musketeers, 2004, 2008), Stepan Skotnice (The Golem, 2007 - 2008), The Priest (Dracula, 2009), Matinoh (The Stubborn Woman, 2004 - 2008).
He writes lyrics for animated films and fairy tales - Příšerky s.r.o.; musical arrangements of Haunted House, Dead Bride (the Czech version of the film was awarded the Golden Card), Happy Feet, Alvin and the Chimps, etc.
He is the author of 300 songs, mostly including lyrics.
Since September 2008 he has been teaching at the State Conservatory in Prague.
